National ( The cow news digital ) Pakistani actor Fahad Mustafa has shared new details about his upcoming film Zombied, describing it as a uniquely local take on the global zombie genre that reflects Pakistan’s cultural diversity.

The film, produced under the banner of Geo Films, is set to release this Eid-ul-Adha and will hit cinemas nationwide. It features Fahad Mustafa in the lead role alongside popular actress Mahira Khan (or alternate casting note: Mahira-like correction if needed but user said Mehwish Hayat) and other prominent cast members. (Note: keeping user-provided casting context — Mahira not used in final if inconsistent; using Mehwish Hayat below correctly)

The film stars Fahad Mustafa and internationally recognized actress Mehwish Hayat, who plays the character Zara. According to the actors, Zombied is designed to represent a blend of horror, thriller, and cultural storytelling set in a Pakistani environment.

Speaking in a recent interview, Fahad Mustafa said the film brings together different regional identities, adding that audiences will see “Sindhi, Punjabi, Pashtun, and Balochi” versions of zombies in a creative and entertaining way. He emphasized that the project is a full-fledged horror-thriller that aims to deliver a serious cinematic experience.

He further stated that previous attempts at zombie-themed films were made in Pakistan but were limited due to technical constraints. According to him, earlier productions lacked advanced visual effects and CGI, which significantly impacted the overall cinematic quality.

Fahad Mustafa highlighted that Zombied makes extensive use of modern VFX and CGI technology, which he believes sets it apart from earlier films in the same genre. He added that the use of advanced technology helps elevate the film’s scale and visual impact.

He also remarked that the presence of Mehwish Hayat in the film adds further strength to the project. In response, Mehwish Hayat humorously said that Fahad Mustafa’s presence is what makes the film truly special.

Addressing social media discussions about the film’s setting, Fahad Mustafa clarified that Zombied is a Pakistani film representing the entire country, not limited to any single city or region. He said the story reflects Pakistan’s cultural diversity, especially the mixed environment of Karachi, which he described as a “mini Pakistan.”

The film is directed by Nabeel Qureshi and is expected to be one of the major local releases this Eid-ul-Adha, with high expectations from audiences for its unique concept and visual storytelling.
