According to police, CCTV footage has surfaced showing the suspect moving in and out of the street shortly after the incident. In a troubling development, she was also seen returning and contacting local residents, who then called emergency services on helpline 15.
Authorities have sent the CCTV footage to the Punjab Forensic Science Agency for detailed analysis as part of the ongoing investigation. Officials believe the footage will help clarify the sequence of events leading up to the tragedy.
The victims were identified as three young siblings: five-year-old Mominah Batool, four-year-old Momin Raza, and 18-month-old Umme Habiba. Their bodies were discovered with fatal injuries inside their home, and initial reports indicated they were killed using a sharp object.
Police have confirmed that the post-mortem examinations have been completed, after which the bodies were handed over to the family. The grieving relatives later transported the remains to their ancestral village in Jhang for burial.
Investigators stated that the accused has been taken into custody and is expected to be presented before a local court for physical remand. Early interrogation reportedly led to a confession, though officials say the investigation is still ongoing to determine the motive behind the crime.
