World ( The cow news digital ) Tensions flared during the Sylhet Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh as Pakistani wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan and Bangladesh wicketkeeper Litton Das were involved in a heated verbal exchange on the fourth day of the second Test.

The incident occurred at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium when Bangladesh players were reportedly seen engaging in verbal taunts directed at Rizwan during his innings. The situation escalated during the 72nd over when Bangladesh spinner Taijul Islam came on to bowl and Rizwan briefly stopped play while pointing towards the sightscreen, which appeared to be affecting his line of sight.

Following this interruption, an argument broke out between Rizwan and Litton Das. According to on-field exchanges, Litton Das questioned Rizwan’s actions, asking what he was doing, while Rizwan responded angrily, stating that the sightscreen was interfering and accusing the opposition of unnecessary interference.

The exchange intensified as Litton Das reportedly responded by telling Rizwan to either play or get out. Match officials quickly intervened, with on-field umpires stepping in to calm the situation and restore order between the players.

Despite the brief confrontation, play resumed shortly afterward. However, further verbal remarks were reportedly exchanged, with Litton Das making comments suggesting that Rizwan was exaggerating the situation. Additional Bangladesh fielders were also heard engaging in light taunts directed at the Pakistani batter.

Amid the on-field tension, Rizwan maintained focus and went on to complete a composed half-century, marking his 14th Test fifty. His innings played a key role in stabilizing Pakistan’s chase under pressure.

At the end of the fourth day, Pakistan were 316 for 7 in response to Bangladesh’s target of 437 runs. Rizwan remained unbeaten on 75, while Sajid Khan was also not out on 8. Pakistan still required 121 runs to secure victory heading into the final day of the Test.

The match remains finely balanced, with both sides still in contention as the contest moves toward an intense conclusion. Cricket officials are expected to monitor player conduct closely following the heated exchange.
