Pakistan ( The cow news digital ) LAHORE: Senior Pakistani actor Sohail Ahmed has stated that former cricketer and politician Imran Khan should be regarded as a cricketing hero but not necessarily a political hero.
During a recent television appearance, Sohail Ahmed said that Imran Khan’s achievements in cricket are widely acknowledged and no one can deny his status as a national sports icon. He added that leaders from different political parties, including the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and the Pakistan Peoples Party, would also agree that Imran Khan remains a national sporting figure.
However, the senior actor clarified that while Imran Khan is a respected cricket legend, he personally does not view him as a political hero. He emphasized that admiration for a person’s sporting career does not automatically translate into political approval.
Sohail Ahmed further explained that he once admired Imran Khan greatly during his cricketing days, describing him as a “beloved figure” in sports.
