Peshawar (The COW News Digital) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has issued an important notification regarding the party’s organizational affairs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, directing that the existing structure remain unchanged until further orders.
According to the notification, Junaid Akbar Khan will continue to serve as the provincial president of PTI in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa despite the province’s current political circumstances.
The notification further states that Senator Noorul Haq Qadri will chair party meetings in Junaid Akbar Khan’s absence and perform his responsibilities in accordance with the party’s constitution.
PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa General Secretary Ali Asghar Khan has been assigned responsibility for overseeing the party’s overall organizational affairs during this period.
The notification makes it clear that no changes will be made to the existing organizational structure until further instructions are issued. The decision appears aimed at maintaining administrative continuity and preventing uncertainty within the party’s provincial ranks amid the evolving political situation.
The announcement comes at a time of heightened political tension in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, following the imposition of Governor’s Rule and an emergency in the province. The situation has raised questions about the future of provincial governance and the political activities of PTI leaders.
By retaining Junaid Akbar Khan as provincial president and assigning interim responsibilities to other party officials, the PTI leadership has outlined how organizational matters and meetings will be managed in the president’s absence.
The role assigned to Noorul Haq Qadri will allow party meetings to continue under the established constitutional framework, while Ali Asghar Khan will supervise organizational matters to ensure that routine party functions remain operational.
The notification also signals that the party leadership does not intend to make immediate structural changes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Any future adjustments, according to the stated directive, will depend on further instructions from the party leadership.
PTI has faced significant political challenges in the province, where developments surrounding the provincial administration have intensified debate over the party’s organizational and political future. Maintaining a clear chain of responsibility could help the party coordinate its activities during this uncertain period.
The notification does not announce any change in the provincial president’s position or indicate a replacement for Junaid Akbar Khan. Instead, it confirms the continuation of the existing structure and specifies arrangements for handling responsibilities in his absence.
The latest directive highlights PTI’s stated approach of maintaining organizational stability while political developments continue in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
