Balochistan (The COW News Digial) Security forces have killed three militants during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Awaran district, according to security sources, as authorities continue counterterrorism operations across the province.
The operation was conducted in the Badrang area of Awaran under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, security sources said. During the operation, security personnel targeted militants identified by the sources as members of Fitna al-Hindustan.
According to the sources, three militants were killed during the security operation. A substantial quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from their possession following the encounter.
Security sources said the latest action was part of continuing intelligence-based operations aimed at disrupting militant networks operating in different parts of Balochistan. They claimed that sustained security operations have inflicted significant losses on militants in the province.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised security forces following the reported operation in Awaran. In a statement, he commended the forces for killing three militants and described the operation as a significant action against militant elements.
Naqvi said security personnel remained committed to restoring and maintaining peace in Balochistan. He also praised the forces for thwarting what he described as militants’ plans and paid tribute to personnel involved in counterterrorism efforts.
The interior minister further said that the elimination of militants and their facilitators remained a national priority. He added intelligence-led actions in Pakistan’s counterterrorism strategy, particularly in that the Pakistani public stood alongside the security forces in efforts to combat terrorism.
