Islamabad (The COW News Digital) Pakistan’s military has carried out retaliatory strikes at 10 locations in Afghanistan, targeting what Pakistani officials described as terrorist infrastructure and facilities linked to militant activities.
According to Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar, the operations were conducted under Operation Ghazab Lil Haq, with precision air and drone strikes targeting 10 different locations in areas under the control of Afghanistan’s Taliban government.
Tarar said the strikes targeted militant hideouts as well as supporting infrastructure allegedly used by terrorists. He added that facilities used for launching and storing drones were also destroyed during the operation.
The federal minister shared details of the military action in a post on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
A video released alongside the statement showed footage of the reported air and drone strikes. The government said the operation focused on locations identified as being associated with terrorist activities and their operational infrastructure.
According to the Pakistani account, the targeted sites included militant positions and facilities allegedly being used to support drone operations. Officials described the strikes as precise actions aimed at disrupting terrorist infrastructure.
The reported operation comes amid heightened tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border and continuing security concerns linked to militant attacks originating from Afghan territory.
