Islamabad (The COW News Digital) Pakistan is fully prepared to respond to any alleged false flag operation, the Foreign Office has said, while reiterating that the country’s national security and territorial integrity remain non-negotiable.

Foreign Office spokesperson Sajjad Haider Khan made the remarks while addressing questions about regional security and the recently discussed Makkah joint defence agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He described false flag operations as a longstanding Indian practice, reflecting Pakistan’s official position on the matter.

The spokesperson said Pakistan was ready to respond to any such operation and would take the necessary measures to protect its national interests. His statement underscored Islamabad’s emphasis on vigilance and preparedness amid continuing regional security concerns.

Clarifying speculation surrounding the Makkah defence agreement, Khan said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia had completed all required stages of ratification. He explained that the publicly available text of the agreement represented the final version and that no secret clauses had been included.

According to the spokesperson, both countries had completed their respective ratification procedures in accordance with their domestic requirements. He added that different countries followed their own constitutional and legal processes for approving international agreements.

Khan also noted that the agreement was undergoing the relevant parliamentary ratification process in Türkiye. The procedures, he said, reflected the separate legal requirements applicable in each participating country.

Addressing concerns about the agreement’s purpose, the Foreign Office spokesperson stressed that its provisions were intended exclusively to promote joint defence cooperation. He said the agreement was not directed against any third country and should be understood in the context of cooperation between the participating states.

The clarification comes amid public discussion about the scope and implications of defence partnerships involving Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. By stating that the published text contained no undisclosed provisions, the spokesperson sought to address speculation about the agreement’s terms and objectives.

Khan further reiterated Pakistan’s position that any threat to its borders or national security would be treated seriously. He said the country would not compromise on protecting its territorial integrity and safeguarding its national interests.

False flag operations generally refer to actions carried out in a way intended to mislead observers about the identity of those responsible. However, the Foreign Office’s characterisation of such operations as an Indian tradition represents Pakistan’s official claim and should not be treated as independently established evidence of responsibility for any particular incident.

The spokesperson’s remarks highlight two key aspects of Pakistan’s stated foreign policy priorities: maintaining readiness to address potential security threats and strengthening defence cooperation with friendly countries.

As regional security dynamics continue to evolve, the details of bilateral defence agreements and the official positions of participating countries remain important to understanding their diplomatic and strategic relationships.

Pakistan’s Foreign Office maintained that the Makkah agreement was transparent in its published form and focused on mutual defence cooperation, while reiterating that the country remained prepared to protect its sovereignty against any potential threat.
