National ( The cow news digital ) A group of dissatisfied members within the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has publicly emerged, raising internal concerns over the party’s political strategy and calling for a more decisive approach regarding the release of PTI founder Imran Khan.

The group, reportedly led by senior politician Mushtaq Ghani, has expressed reservations about the current protest strategy, describing it as ineffective. In a social media statement, Ghani clarified that the group is neither part of any lobbying faction nor a forward bloc, but is united by a single-point agenda: securing the release of Imran Khan.

He criticized the current political approach, stating that the ongoing movement lacks sufficient impact. He further argued that symbolic or limited political actions would not achieve the desired outcome and called for stronger and more sustained measures.

The dissenting members have suggested that if a sit-in is planned in front of Parliament on June 10, it should continue until their demand is met, signaling a more hardline stance within the group.

Efforts to resolve the internal rift are reportedly underway. Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Babar Saleem Swati, has engaged in discussions with Mushtaq Ghani in Abbottabad, assuring him that the group’s concerns will be addressed. According to sources, attempts are being made to persuade the dissatisfied members, including offers of inclusion in the provincial cabinet.

However, the group has sought time to deliberate on the proposal, with a consultative meeting scheduled in Peshawar ahead of the upcoming assembly session. The meeting is expected to determine the group’s next course of action and their stance within the provincial political landscape.

The situation highlights growing tensions within the provincial political setup, as differing views emerge over protest strategies and internal party coordination.
