National ( The cow news digital ) A group of dissatisfied members of the provincial assembly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has written a detailed letter to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, calling for a renewed and more effective political and legal strategy for the release of party founder Imran Khan.

According to the letter, the lawmakers urged the party leadership to launch a sustained and organized political movement aimed at securing Imran Khan’s release. They also emphasized the need to pursue legal efforts for the release of imprisoned party workers who, they said, are facing ongoing detention and hardships.

The disgruntled legislators raised concerns over what they described as interference by non-relevant individuals in government affairs, deviation from merit-based decision-making, and unfair distribution of development funds. They also pointed out a lack of consultation with elected representatives regarding constituency-level development projects and administrative decisions.

The letter followed a consultative meeting held by several PTI members of the provincial assembly in Peshawar. During the meeting, participants reportedly expressed concern over what they termed misleading narratives being circulated through social media platforms and other media channels, which attempt to associate lawmakers with different factions or groups within the party.

The lawmakers clarified in the letter that all elected members remain committed to the ideology, manifesto, and vision of Imran Khan, and that they do not align themselves with any internal groupings or personal agendas. They stressed unity within the party’s parliamentary ranks and rejected any attempts to create divisions among elected representatives.

The meeting also discussed serious concerns regarding restrictions on Imran Khan’s access to medical care, legal counsel, family members, and party leadership. Participants expressed that such restrictions were deeply troubling and called for a comprehensive, structured, and result-oriented strategy to address both legal and political challenges.

The lawmakers further recommended the formation of a coordinated legal team to handle cases involving Imran Khan, senior party leaders, and detained workers. They emphasized that a clear and effective legal strategy would help restore confidence among party workers and supporters.

In addition, the letter highlighted concerns about governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, urging the leadership to ensure transparency, merit-based decision-making, institutional discipline, and proper consultation with elected representatives in all governmental matters.

The lawmakers concluded by calling on the party leadership to urgently develop a unified and practical roadmap to address political challenges, strengthen organizational cohesion, and improve governance in the province.
