Court Summons Fazlur Rehman in Case Over Alleged Army Remarks

National ( The cow news digital ) A court in Pakistan’s Punjab province has summoned Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman in connection with a petition seeking the registration of a case over his alleged remarks regarding the Pakistan Army.

According to reports, Additional Sessions Judge Faisal Jameel of Gujranwala issued a notice to Fazlur Rehman after hearing a petition filed in the district court. The petitioner has accused the JUI-F leader of making statements considered critical of the military.

The petition, filed by Manzoor Qadir Bhinder, claimed that Fazlur Rehman’s remarks amounted to disrespect toward the armed forces and alleged that he made comments concerning martyrs. The petitioner requested legal action and the registration of a case against the political leader.

The court has directed Maulana Fazlur Rehman to appear on July 28 to respond to the petition and address the allegations raised against him.

Fazlur Rehman, a prominent religious and political figure in Pakistan, has previously been involved in major political developments and has frequently expressed views on national issues, governance, and state institutions.
