ISLAMABAD — Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja has strongly criticized authorities, alleging that the ruling establishment is treating the Pakistani public with utter contempt by comparing citizens to insects and cockroaches.
Speaking to the media outside the Islamabad High Court, Raja asserted that denying the incarcerated former prime minister access to his personal physicians is a deliberate provocation designed to infuriate the masses. He highlighted that the PTI founder has recently been suffering from an eye condition and experienced health complications, though his condition has since stabilized.
“We know that the PTI founder’s health deteriorated a few days ago,” Raja stated, demanding that his personal doctors be granted immediate access. He questioned why visits are being blocked when personal physicians do not engage in political discourse upon exiting.
The PTI secretary general emphasized the necessity of verifying the founding chairman’s blood pressure and overall health metrics, warning that ongoing uncertainty surrounding his well-being is deepening political tensions in the country.
