Supreme Court Fixes Imran Khan’s Petitions for Hearing

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has officially scheduled multiple petitions concerning the medical treatment and legal meetings of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan for hearing on August 18, 2026.

According to details released by the Supreme Court registrar’s office, a newly constituted three-member bench will take up the cases. The bench will be headed by Justice Shahid Waheed, alongside Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim as members. Notices have already been dispatched by the registrar’s office to all concerned legal counsels and relevant parties to ensure their representation during the upcoming proceedings.

The petitions focus on securing regular access for legal teams, family members, and medical specialists to visit the former prime minister, addressing ongoing concerns regarding his health and detention conditions. The upcoming hearing is anticipated to draw significant attention from political circles and legal experts alike, as the court reviews these high-profile administrative and fundamental rights matters.
