In the wake of escalating tensions following the Pahalgam incident, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held a telephonic conversation with Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. The two leaders agreed to maintain ongoing consultations amid the evolving regional situation.
According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office, Foreign Minister Dar briefed his Saudi counterpart on the decisions taken by Pakistan’s National Security Committee (NSC), which were described as a direct response to India’s unilateral and provocative actions.
Dar categorically rejected the “baseless” allegations leveled by India against Pakistan and reiterated the country’s resolve to give a firm response to any act of aggression.
The Foreign Office statement added that both ministers reaffirmed their commitment to close coordination and continued diplomatic engagement in light of the changing geopolitical landscape.
In a separate development, FM Dar also spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi. During their conversation, Dar extended best wishes for the success of Iran–U.S. negotiations and discussed broader regional cooperation.
