Islamabad(The COW News Digital)-Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said on Monday there was no issue or obstacle in notifying Field Marshal Asim Munir’s appointment as Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), dismissing reports circulating on social and electronic media.

Speaking to reporters, the minister said the matter had been unnecessarily turned into a controversy online, despite clear communication from the government. He said that Defense Minister Khawaja Asif had already explained the situation in a recent tweet, confirming that all formalities regarding the CDF notification were proceeding smoothly.
The information minister urged the public to avoid speculation and rely on official statements, stressing that the notification is being handled without any hindrance or problem.
