Peshawar: The fuel situation in Peshawar showed marked improvement, with over 90% of petrol pumps operational by midday, easing long queues and congestion that had plagued motorists in recent days. Commuters were able to access fuel more easily, providing relief to both private vehicle owners and public transport operators.
However, some pumps reportedly closed at night due to limited overnight supply, prompting authorities to monitor the situation closely and ensure that distribution remains consistent throughout the day. Public transport services, which had previously faced disruptions, gradually resumed regular operations, helping businesses and daily commuters manage their schedules more effectively.
Officials emphasized that continued coordination between suppliers and local authorities is essential to prevent further shortages. Citizens have been advised to refuel during operational hours and remain patient while supply chains stabilize completely. The partial restoration of services has helped restore public confidence in the city’s fuel availability.
