Dubai to Welcome New Year With Fireworks Across 40 Sites

Dubai has completed all preparations to welcome the New Year, with the government announcing a series of spectacular fireworks displays across the city, TCND channel reported on Sunday.

According to the details, as soon as Christmas celebrations concluded, Dubai authorities swung into action to finalise arrangements for New Year festivities, aiming to offer residents and visitors a memorable start to the year.

According to officials, fireworks will be staged at around 40 locations across Dubai, transforming the skyline into a dazzling display of light and colour.

Major landmarks set to host the celebrations include the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Frame, The World Islands and Dubai Festival City, where large crowds are expected to gather.

In addition, fireworks will illuminate iconic destinations such as Burj Al Arab, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Creek, Global Village, Al Seef, Hatta and Bluewaters Island.

The Dubai government said comprehensive arrangements have been made to ensure smooth crowd management and public safety during the celebrations, as millions are expected to ring in the New Year across the emirate.

Authorities have advised residents and tourists to follow official guidelines and reach venues early to avoid congestion, as Dubai once again prepares to welcome the New Year with grandeur and festivity.
