Tehran(The COW News Digital)Iran has strongly rejected a recent statement issued by G7 countries, calling it an interference in its internal affairs and alleging that there is undeniable evidence of Israeli involvement in violence and terrorism inside Iran.
In an official statement released in Tehran, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the G7’s remarks were “interventionist” and politically motivated. The ministry claimed that peaceful protests in Iran were deliberately turned violent by what it described as “Zionist-backed terrorist elements,” with attacks reported against protesters and security personnel between January 8 and 10.
The Iranian statement asserted that Tehran possesses “irrefutable evidence” linking Israel to acts of violence and unrest within the country. It further claimed that public statements made by US and Israeli officials amounted to clear incitement to violence, accusing them of encouraging instability under the guise of supporting human rights.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry emphasized that the Iranian state respects the right to peaceful protest and remains committed to protecting citizens’ rights as guaranteed under the constitution. However, it stressed that the government has a responsibility to maintain law and order and will take firm action to defend national security against what it called terrorism supported by foreign actors.
The statement also criticized the G7 countries for what Iran described as double standards on human rights. According to Tehran, the US-led G7 bloc has repeatedly violated human rights itself, undermining its moral authority to comment on Iran’s domestic situation. The ministry said the G7’s position exposed the politicization of human rights for strategic purposes.
Referring to the ongoing conflict in Gaza, Iran accused G7 members of being directly complicit with Israel in what it described as the “genocide of the Palestinian people.” The Foreign Ministry said these countries have no ethical justification to lecture others on human rights while supporting Israeli military actions.
Iran also recalled civilian casualties from what it said were Israeli attacks in 2025, stating that the Iranian nation would not forget the loss of innocent lives. The ministry demanded that the G7 immediately halt what it called unlawful interference in Iran’s internal affairs.
In its concluding remarks, Tehran urged the G7 to lift what it described as illegal sanctions against Iran and to stop using human rights as a political weapon. It warned that promoting violence and terrorism under the banner of human rights was unacceptable and dangerous.
The strong response underscores escalating diplomatic tensions between Iran and Western powers, particularly as regional conflicts and internal unrest continue to shape the geopolitical landscape of the Middle East.
