Speaking at a press conference in Tehran, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei dismissed reports circulating in Israeli and American media suggesting that Iran could be pushed into talks over its missile capabilities. He emphasized that Iran’s missile program is purely defensive in nature and designed to deter potential aggression.

Recent media reports have claimed that Israel may be considering new military actions to increase pressure on Iran over its missile development. Addressing these claims, Baghaei warned that such narratives are part of a broader strategy aimed at destabilizing Iran through political, psychological, and media-driven means rather than direct confrontation.
The Iranian spokesperson accused Israel of waging a so-called “hybrid war” against Iran, with the support of the United States and certain hostile media outlets. He argued that heightened media focus on Iran’s missile program is intended to justify pressure tactics and misrepresent Tehran’s defensive policies to the international community.
