Madinah (The COW News Digital) The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has announced new visiting timings for the Prophet’s Mosque, including the Rawdah (Raudah) and the Riadh Al-Jannah area, allowing worshippers to perform voluntary prayers and ziyarat (visitation) more comfortably.

Under the revised schedule, male visitors can perform ziyarat of the Prophet’s ﷺ resting place from 2:00 AM until Fajr prayer, and later from 11:00 AM until Isha prayer. This adjustment aims to accommodate the growing number of pilgrims and to ensure a smoother flow of visitors within the mosque premises.

For female visitors, ziyarat timings have been set from after Fajr prayer until 11:00 AM and then again from after Isha prayer until 2:00 AM. The new schedule also specifies special Friday timings: men may perform ziyarat from after Friday prayer until Isha, while women can visit between Fajr and 9:00 AM.

The General Presidency emphasized that these changes come as part of ongoing efforts to improve visitor experience and enhance the spiritual environment of the mosque. Authorities have been working to manage crowd density, ensuring the safety and convenience of worshippers performing prayers and voluntary acts of worship in the sacred areas.

Additionally, the earlier restriction of performing voluntary prayers in Riadh Al-Jannah only once a year has now been lifted, allowing worshippers to engage in nafl prayers more frequently. The Presidency also highlighted that the mosque’s administration is committed to continuously updating operational schedules and crowd management strategies, especially during high-traffic periods such as Ramadan and Hajj seasons.

These adjustments reflect a growing focus on the comfort, safety, and religious fulfillment of pilgrims from around the world, making it easier for men and women to engage in worship and visitation at their own pace. Devotees are advised to follow the announced timings and adhere to guidance provided by mosque authorities to ensure a serene and organized experience.
