World ( The cow news digital ) The Imam and خطیب of the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, Sheikh Dr. Ali Al-Hudhaify, will deliver this year’s Hajj sermon at Masjid Namirah in Arafat, according to an announcement by the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques.
Arab media reported that Sheikh Al-Hudhaify will deliver the central Hajj sermon on Tuesday, 26 May (9 Dhul-Hijjah 1447 AH), during the Day of Arafah, which is considered the most significant ritual of the annual pilgrimage.
Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaify is widely regarded as one of the most prominent Quran reciters in Saudi Arabia and across the Muslim world. Over the course of his distinguished religious career, he has served as Imam and Khateeb at several major mosques, including Masjid Quba and Masjid al-Haram in Makkah.
The announcement comes as Saudi Arabia marks the beginning of the month of Dhul-Hijjah, the final month of the Islamic lunar calendar, during which the Hajj pilgrimage takes place.
The Day of Arafah, when pilgrims gather at Mount Arafat for prayers and supplication, will be observed on 26 May 2026. Eid al-Adha is expected to fall on Wednesday, 27 May 2026.
Hajj remains one of the five pillars of Islam and attracts millions of pilgrims from around the world each year, gathering in Makkah and surrounding holy sites for a series of deeply significant religious rites.
