Sindh ( the cow news digital ) Authorities in Karachi have announced a temporary relief initiative for motorcycle riders struggling with rising fuel prices. Kamran Tessori revealed that motorcyclists will receive free petrol until Eid al-Fitr as part of a public support measure during the ongoing economic pressure on citizens.

Speaking to the media, the governor said that motorcycle riders would be provided with up to three liters of petrol as a gesture of assistance for those finding it difficult to afford rising fuel costs. The initiative is intended to support low-income commuters who rely heavily on motorcycles for daily transportation.

Kamran Tessori explained that he would personally visit petrol stations in the city without prior notice. During these visits, motorcyclists present at the selected fuel stations would receive free petrol on the spot. According to the governor, the initiative aims to ease the burden on individuals who cannot afford even a small amount of fuel amid inflation.

“Many people are struggling to buy even a thousand rupees worth of petrol in these difficult economic times. This small effort is meant to provide them some relief and serve as an Eid gift,” Tessori said. He also urged citizens to pray for peace in the region, noting that ongoing tensions in the Middle East could further impact fuel prices and essential commodities.

The governor warned that if regional conflict continues for a prolonged period, the prices of petroleum products and food items could increase further, placing additional pressure on the economy and ordinary citizens.

During the announcement, Tessori also said that the Governor House Karachi had cancelled all iftar gatherings planned for the final ten days of Ramadan as part of a broader effort to follow austerity measures encouraged by Shehbaz Sharif.

However, he clarified that the public welfare initiative known as the “Umeed-e-Ramzan Dastarkhwan” will continue to operate, ensuring that free meals remain available to citizens during the holy month. Tessori also stated that he has cancelled his personal iftar invitations in solidarity with the government’s cost-saving policies.

The announcement has generated discussion among citizens and on social media, with many welcoming the move as a symbolic relief effort during a period of rising fuel prices and economic uncertainty.
