Islamabad (The COW News Digital)Google has released its list of the most-searched topics in Pakistan for 2025, based on billions of searches across six categories throughout the year. The rankings reflect trends in sports, technology, news, recipes, athletes, and online guides, highlighting the interests of Pakistani users.
In the cricket category, “Pakistan vs South Africa” topped the searches, followed by the Pakistan Super League, Asia Cup, Pakistan vs India, Pakistan vs New Zealand, India vs England, Pakistan vs West Indies, India vs Australia, ICC Champions Trophy, and Pakistan vs UAE.
Among athletes, Indian cricketer Abhishek Sharma was the most-searched, with Pakistani players Hassan Nawaz, Irfan Khan Niazi, Sahibzada Farhan, Muhammad Abbas, Saeem Ayub, Yasir Khan, Saif Hasan, and Abdsamad also featuring prominently.

Local news searches included significant events such as the Karachi floods, Iran, easy business card registration, floods in the Chenab River, Federal Board Matric exam results, Karachi Board Matric results, Prime Minister’s laptop scheme, gold prices in Pakistan, and 9th-grade exam dates.
In technology, Google Gemini led the searches, followed by Tamasha, Deep Seek, MyCo, ON 4T, Google AI Studio, Cloud services, iPhone 17, Grok, and NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens).
For recipes, “how to make a sandwich” was the most searched term, with other popular searches including food fusion, quinoa, flour-based recipes, desserts, mutton dishes, easy recipes, tofu recipes, soups, and beef recipes.
In the guides category, the top search was “how to check Karachi e-challan.” Other commonly searched topics included “not sending messages on Instagram,” car insurance, investing in cryptocurrency, stock market investment, applying for credit cards, creating spontaneous photos, finding the best lawyer, printing from a phone via apps, and uploading blogs.
These search trends offer insights into the evolving interests and priorities of Pakistanis in 2025, reflecting a mix of entertainment, education, practical guidance, and global and local news engagement.
