US President Donald Trump said that even if Russia is sharing intelligence with Iran regarding US military personnel and installations in the Middle East, it has had little practical impact on Iran’s operations.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump referred to recent events as evidence that Iranian forces have not gained significant advantage despite any intelligence provided by Russia. He emphasized that the situation last week demonstrated minimal benefit to Tehran.
When asked about Russia’s cooperation, Trump added that Moscow could argue that the US operates similarly in other contexts, suggesting that the intelligence-sharing dynamic does not create a decisive edge. He cited the example of Ukraine, where the US has provided defense and targeting intelligence for four years despite Russian attacks.
Trump further stated that he has no interest in negotiations with Iran at this time. He indicated that any meaningful talks might only be possible if Iran’s military capability is neutralized or if the current leadership in Tehran is removed.

“Once Iran’s military is destroyed and the leadership is gone, discussions may become meaningless,” Trump said, adding that there may come a point where no one remains who could even claim that Iran would surrender.
The president’s remarks highlight his hardline stance toward Iran, signaling that the US may continue its military-focused approach in the region rather than seeking diplomatic engagement under current circumstances.
Trump also underscored the importance of decisive action to ensure US strategic objectives are met, reinforcing a position that emphasizes military pressure over negotiations until Iran’s capabilities are diminished.
His statements come amid rising tensions in the Middle East, with global observers closely monitoring both US and Iranian movements to gauge potential escalation.
