Washington(The COW News Digital)U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that deployment of American ground forces in Iran cannot be ruled out, amid escalating military operations in the region. Speaking to the media, Trump indicated that the most significant wave of airstrikes against Iran is yet to come, signaling a major intensification of U.S. military action.

According to New York Post, Trump avoided making an absolute declaration that ground troops would never be used, stating that while deployment is not planned at this stage, it remains a possibility if circumstances demand.

Trump described the initial attacks as only the beginning, with the largest and most intense operations still pending. He emphasized that the strikes are targeting high-value objectives, aiming to curb Iran’s nuclear weapons development, dismantle its ballistic missile capabilities, and weaken the Iranian navy.

Regarding the recent attack on Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, Trump revealed that the leader was present at a Tehran meeting with close aides during the operation. He claimed that approximately 49 senior Iranian officials, including military and security leaders, were eliminated in the strikes.

The president underscored that U.S. operations will continue until all strategic goals are achieved. “The objective of this campaign is to neutralize the threats posed by Iran and to ensure global peace and security,” Trump said, signaling a sustained and comprehensive approach to the conflict.

Trump’s statements highlight an escalation in U.S.-Iran tensions, raising concerns among international observers about the potential for further conflict and regional instability. Analysts note that while airstrikes remain the primary strategy, the possibility of ground force deployment marks a significant expansion of military options being considered by Washington.
