Over the course of a career lasting more than 50 years, he portrayed a wide range of characters — from heartfelt supporting roles to unforgettable comic performances — leaving an indelible mark on Indian cinema.
The 1970s are often regarded as the golden period of Asrani’s career, when he became a household name through iconic performances in classics such as Mere Apne, Koshish, Bawarchi, Parichay, Abhimaan, Chupke Chupke, Chhoti Si Baat, and Rafu Chakkar.
