Islamabad(The COW News Digital)The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad has directed that PTI founder Imran Khan be presented either in person or via video link at the next hearing in the May 9 riots and five other related cases.

The order was issued by Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka, who presided over the hearing involving Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi.

During the proceedings, the court noted that Adiala Jail authorities had failed to submit a response to the show-cause notice previously issued by the court regarding Khan’s non-production in earlier hearings.

Following the review, the court extended the interim bail of both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi until November 25 and adjourned the hearing.

The PTI founder faces multiple charges, including cases related to the May 9 violence, attempted murder, and alleged fake receipts, while Bushra Bibi is accused in a separate case concerning the submission of fabricated receipts.

The court’s directive now puts pressure on prison authorities to ensure Khan’s **appearance—either physically or virtually—**in the next session, as his repeated non-appearance has been a key point of contention in ongoing proceedings.

Legal analysts note that the upcoming hearing could be crucial in determining the future course of these high-profile cases, which continue to shape the country’s political and judicial landscape.
