Islamabad(The COW News Digital)Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Goher has strongly rejected claims suggesting that the party intends to “take over” any province, emphasizing that PTI has never engaged in such actions and has no plans to do so in the future. His remarks came during a public address at a PTI rally in Peshawar, where he also spoke about recent electoral setbacks.
Commenting on the Haripur by-election, Goher expressed disappointment over the outcome, stating that PTI had been let down once again. “Despite the results, we will continue our struggle for the rights of the people,” he asserted, reinforcing the party’s commitment to its political agenda.

Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi addressed concerns about political unrest, noting that some elements are attempting to undermine the supremacy of the Constitution and the rule of law. “We will remain peaceful, but no one will be allowed to encroach upon our rights,” Afridi said, emphasizing the government’s stance on maintaining law and order.
In a separate address in Sawabi, PTI leader Asad Qaiser alleged massive irregularities in the Haripur by-election. He criticized the election process, claiming that the results did not reflect the true will of the people.
Asad Qaiser also took aim at the current government’s economic policies, labeling them as “completely failed.” He highlighted the rising unemployment rate, which has reportedly reached 7.1 percent, and cited a statement by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) that alleged corruption worth PKR 5,300 billion over the past three years.
Qaiser called on the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to conduct a transparent and independent investigation into these allegations of corruption, urging immediate accountability for officials involved. He emphasized the need for economic reforms and stronger governance to address growing public discontent.
The PTI leadership’s statements reflect the party’s ongoing strategy to mobilize support while highlighting grievances over both electoral processes and government performance. Analysts say the remarks aim to reassure supporters that PTI remains committed to democratic principles and lawful political activism, countering accusations of any intent to seize power unlawfully.
As the political climate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other regions intensifies ahead of upcoming elections, PTI leaders continue to maintain a narrative of resistance against perceived injustices, while asserting the party’s adherence to constitutional and legal norms.
