Adults, on the other hand, are more likely to develop tumors in muscles or soft tissue, which may swell but often remain painless in the early stages.
Dr. Baghiu emphasized the importance of recognizing warning signs. Persistent swelling in the hands, feet, or legs that lasts more than a month, grows progressively, or appears without pain can be indicative of a serious underlying condition. Similarly, bone pain that intensifies at night or does not respond to standard pain relief medications may signal a tumor. Even minor fractures from trivial injuries could suggest a pre-existing bone abnormality, including cancer.
