National ( The cow news digital ) A political disagreement has emerged within the opposition ranks after reports surfaced that Mahmood Khan Achakzai, the Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, expressed displeasure over being excluded from key decisions regarding Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) gatherings, including a recent rally held in Mardan.

According to party sources, PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Atif Khan contacted Achakzai by telephone to invite him to participate in the Mardan rally. However, Achakzai reportedly declined to attend, expressing dissatisfaction over not being properly consulted before the announcement of the event.

Sources further indicate that PTI founder Imran Khan had previously assigned Achakzai a central role in decisions related to protests and public gatherings. Despite this, several recent developments appear to have taken place without his consultation, leading to growing unease within the opposition alliance.

Party insiders claim that the Mardan rally was announced directly by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi without prior coordination with Achakzai. This has raised concerns over internal communication gaps and decision-making authority within the party structure.

The situation is not isolated, as similar concerns were reportedly raised after a previous rally in Rawalpindi on April 9, where Achakzai also chose not to participate. According to sources, he was not taken into confidence regarding that event either, further deepening the sense of exclusion.

Additionally, PTI’s request to hold a rally in Quetta was recently turned down by authorities, adding to the party’s challenges in organizing public gatherings across different regions.

Despite repeated attempts by media representatives to obtain official comments, PTI leaders including Atif Khan, Barrister Gohar, and Sheikh Waqas have not issued any formal response regarding the matter.
