Tehran/Moscow/Islamabad — (The Cow new digital) Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has described his recent visit to Islamabad as highly productive, stating that meaningful and positive consultations were held with Pakistani officials on regional and international developments.
Speaking to media upon his arrival in Moscow, Araghchi said his visit to Pakistan was part of ongoing diplomatic engagement aimed at strengthening coordination with key regional partners. He added that Iran continues to prioritize close consultation with Russia on major global and regional issues.
The Iranian foreign minister is scheduled to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin, where discussions are expected to focus on the latest regional developments, including the ongoing geopolitical situation and its broader implications. Araghchi said the meeting will provide an important opportunity to review recent changes and enhance strategic coordination between Tehran and Moscow.
He further noted that during his visit to Islamabad, he held constructive discussions with Pakistani leadership. According to him, both sides reviewed past developments and examined conditions under which Iran–US negotiations could continue in the future. He described the discussions in Pakistan as useful and forward-looking.
Araghchi also referred to his earlier visit to Oman, where discussions were held regarding the strategic significance of the Strait of Hormuz. He emphasized that Iran and Oman, as neighboring coastal states, maintain close consultation on maritime security and regional stability, particularly at a time when safe passage through the waterway remains a critical global concern.
He added that dialogue between coastal states is natural and necessary to protect shared interests. According to him, coordination between Iran and Oman continues at both political and expert levels, with both countries agreeing on the importance of maintaining regular communication.
The Iranian foreign minister stressed that regional cooperation and diplomatic engagement remain essential for maintaining stability in the Middle East. He reiterated Iran’s commitment to continued dialogue with neighboring countries and international partners to address shared challenges.
Diplomatic observers view Araghchi’s multi-country tour as part of Iran’s broader effort to strengthen regional ties and promote coordination amid evolving geopolitical tensions.
