World ( The cow news digital ) Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Salman Akram Raja has alleged that party founder Imran Khan is being subjected to mistreatment in custody and claimed that his health has severely deteriorated, including the loss of vision in one eye.
Speaking to media outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Salman Akram Raja said that both Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, are facing serious health risks due to what he described as inadequate access to proper medical care and violation of court orders regarding meetings with legal representatives and family.
He alleged that despite multiple judicial directives, authorities have failed to ensure compliance with court-mandated access and transparency regarding the conditions of detention. He further claimed that while some other political prisoners reportedly receive better facilities, Imran Khan is being denied similar treatment.
Salman Akram Raja stated that the legal team has already exhausted all available judicial remedies, including filing petitions in the Supreme Court, but said that no meaningful hearing or relief has been provided so far. As a result, he added, the party is now taking its case directly to the public.
The statement has intensified political debate, as PTI leaders continue to raise concerns about the treatment and health of their jailed founder. The government, however, has consistently maintained that all prisoners are being dealt with according to the law and that no special or unlawful treatment is being given to any individual.
The issue remains politically sensitive, with ongoing disputes between PTI and state institutions over legal proceedings, prison conditions, and access to detainees. Further clarification from official medical or judicial sources has not yet been independently verified.
