World ( The cow news digital ) Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has reportedly been barred from working in the film industry by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), escalating the ongoing controversy surrounding the film Don 3 into a major industry dispute.

According to details shared during a press conference by the federation, the decision was taken after allegations emerged involving a reported financial dispute linked to filmmaker Farhan Akhtar and his production company Excel Entertainment. The controversy reportedly stems from Ranveer Singh’s alleged withdrawal from Don 3 after initially signing agreements for multiple projects.

The producers have claimed that the actor’s exit from the project caused significant financial losses, estimated at around ₹45 crore, including pre-production expenses. They have demanded that Ranveer Singh take responsibility for the costs incurred.

FWICE stated that until the matter is resolved through an appropriate process, no production house affiliated with the federation will collaborate with the actor. The organization also attempted mediation, but those efforts reportedly failed to produce a resolution.

Federation officials described the Indian film industry as a collaborative ecosystem where sudden project withdrawals can have widespread financial and logistical consequences. They warned that stricter measures would be implemented in future disputes of a similar nature.

FWICE chief advisor Ashoke Pandit also indicated that the body would adopt a firm stance on professional conduct and contractual obligations moving forward.

In response to the ban, Ranveer Singh has maintained that he respects all stakeholders involved in the Don franchise and the wider film industry. Through his representatives, the actor stated that he deliberately refrained from public commentary during the dispute, believing that such matters should be resolved through appropriate legal channels with dignity and mutual respect.

His team further added that despite ongoing speculation, Ranveer Singh chose not to engage in public disputes and remains focused on his upcoming projects.

FWICE, however, has claimed that repeated notices were issued to the actor without receiving adequate cooperation, leading to the decision to impose a non-cooperation directive.

The Don franchise, previously headlined by Shah Rukh Khan, has been one of Bollywood’s most successful action series. Ranveer Singh was officially announced as the lead for Don 3 in 2023, but his reported exit has now triggered a prolonged industry-wide controversy.

The situation continues to develop as stakeholders await further legal or official clarification.
