National ( The cow news digital ) Advisor to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts have played a significant role in preventing a potential global conflict, crediting Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for what he described as historic contributions to regional and international peace.
Speaking to journalists at the Parliament House in Islamabad, Rana Sanaullah stated that Pakistan’s mediation efforts in the Iran–United States diplomatic process have created new hope for stability in the region. He said that the leadership demonstrated by the Prime Minister and the military leadership had helped pave the way for de-escalation at a critical time.
He went on to describe the achievements as being “beyond the scope of a Nobel Peace Prize,” while noting that the decision regarding such awards rests with the relevant international committee. According to him, the scale of diplomatic success achieved by Pakistan’s leadership in reducing tensions was of exceptional global significance.
Rana Sanaullah added that easing tensions between Iran and the United States could have far-reaching positive effects on regional stability and the global economy. He said that any easing of sanctions on Iran could open pathways for energy cooperation and major infrastructure projects, including long-discussed regional gas pipeline initiatives.
He also expressed optimism that improved energy cooperation could contribute to stabilizing fuel and gas prices in the region over time, benefiting developing economies like Pakistan.
On domestic political matters, the advisor said that the federal government would extend full support for upcoming elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing the importance of transparent and fair electoral processes. He stated that the elected leadership of Azad Kashmir would be responsible for addressing local issues, and that Pakistan would cooperate with whichever government is formed through the democratic process.
Rana Sanaullah further reiterated that dialogue remains the only viable path to resolving political disputes, adding that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has once again extended an invitation for talks to the opposition. He said initial contacts suggested a positive response may be possible.
Commenting on speculation regarding changes in the federal cabinet, he dismissed such reports as rumors, stating that no decisions had been made regarding expansions, reductions, or reshuffles. He emphasized that cabinet changes fall under the Prime Minister’s constitutional authority and can be made at any time if necessary.
His remarks come amid heightened political discussion surrounding Pakistan’s diplomatic role in regional peace efforts and ongoing domestic political developments.
