In a recent television interview, Farah became emotional as she reflected on her personal life, particularly her relationship with director Iqbal Hussain.
Farah revealed that Hussain was her first love, and their relationship eventually led to marriage. The couple had two children together. However, the union did not last, ending in divorce. Following their separation, Iqbal Hussain married acclaimed actress and senior performer Bushra Ansari, who is older than him.
During the interview, Farah read verses from renowned poet Amjad Islam Amjad’s celebrated poem “Mere Charagh Gar”, struggling to hold back tears as she recalled painful memories. She noted that her experiences had taught her valuable lessons about relationships, trust, and respect.
Addressing young women, Farah stressed the importance of seeking parental guidance when considering marriage. “If parents are not happy with a proposal, take it as a sign from God,” she advised. Farah also dismissed the notion of one-sided love, calling it “foolishness.” She explained that the essence of true love lies in mutual respect. “If respect is not reciprocated, then it is not love — it is a denial of one’s emotions,” she remarked.
