Peshawar(The COW News Digital)Former Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has largely withdrawn from active participation in his party’s activities following his resignation from the provincial leadership post. Party insiders report that Gandapur has not attended key party events in recent weeks, signaling a temporary distance from the central political agenda.
According to party sources, Gandapur was absent from the recent “Black Day” observance in Peshawar, did not participate in today’s party rally, and also refrained from joining the protest organized by lawmakers in Islamabad. The sources further indicated that Gandapur has missed several important party meetings and has significantly reduced communication with senior party leaders. Moreover, the former chief minister has reportedly stopped providing financial support to the party.

Despite his reduced public presence, Gandapur’s spokesperson, Faraz Mughal, told Geo News that the former minister remains focused on development projects in his native constituency. Mughal emphasized that Gandapur is committed to local development and is directing his efforts toward tangible improvements in his home region.
“Whenever the founder of the movement calls for action, Ali Amin Gandapur will be at the forefront,” Mughal stated, underlining that the former chief minister’s temporary absence from party activities should not be interpreted as political disengagement.
Political analysts suggest that Gandapur’s current approach reflects a strategic pause rather than a permanent withdrawal from politics. By concentrating on local development and maintaining a lower profile at party events, Gandapur appears to be strengthening his political base while avoiding immediate confrontations within the party hierarchy.
Observers also note that Gandapur’s absence from high-profile events may impact party dynamics, especially at a time when internal cohesion and active leadership participation are considered crucial. His focus on local projects could also enhance his image among constituents, potentially positioning him as a key figure in future political maneuvers.
While the party awaits Gandapur’s return to active politics, his temporary disengagement highlights the balancing act senior politicians often perform between local obligations and broader party commitments.
