Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced that all educational institutions across the province will remain closed on Wednesday.
The chief minister made the announcement in the wake of the situation arising after Indian missile strikes inside Pakistani territory, which left innocent civilians dead.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), India carried out missile strikes late Tuesday night.
The ISPR DG said that Pakistan’s armed forces are retaliating against the Indian attack. He said that Pakistan would convert India’s temporary joy into permanent mourning.
The Punjab CM condemned Indian aggression and expressed condolences over the loss of innocent lives in India’s strikes.
After the cowardly Indian attack, Pakistani authorities suspended flight operations at airports across the country for the next 48 hours.
Clouds of war have been hovering over Pakistan and India since the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam that India blamed on Pakistan.
Pakistan, however, vehemently denied its involvement in the attack, which took place in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and offered to cooperate with India for an independent investigation.
