Bannon Proposes ‘Three-State Solution’ for Holy Land

Washington( The COW News Digital)Former U.S. President Donald Trump’s ex-adviser Steve Bannon has sparked fresh controversy by suggesting the creation of a Christian state in Jerusalem as part of what he calls a “Three-State Solution” to the decades-old Israel-Palestine conflict.

Speaking on his political podcast War Room, Bannon said the establishment of a Christian state in the Holy Land could “bring peace and stability to the region over the next 20 to 30 years.” He argued that the existing two-state model has failed, and that a new structure—separating Jewish, Muslim, and Christian territories—might reshape the Middle East.

Bannon also criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, claiming his “Greater Israel Project” had been dismantled under the Trump administration. “Trump ended Netanyahu’s expansionist ambitions,” Bannon asserted, adding that Washington’s current approach toward Israel emphasizes conditional support rather than “blanket approval.”

He quoted Trump as saying, “If Israel walks the right path, fine. But if not, it will get no money, no weapons, and no backing from the United States.”

Bannon went on to describe recent developments in the Middle East as a reversal of the post–Ottoman Empire order that defined the region for the past century. “What we are seeing now is the end of the system established after the fall of the Ottoman Empire — and the return of the Turks and Arabs to the center of regional politics,” he said.

He pointed to the Gaza peace framework, which reportedly includes Turkish and Arab participation in an international stabilization force, as evidence of a shifting geopolitical order. “Turkey will lead the Gaza security force, supported by Qatar financially, and potentially joined by Egypt, the UAE, and possibly Saudi Arabia under President Erdogan’s leadership,” Bannon said.

According to him, this emerging alliance represents “the revival of a post-Ottoman order where regional powers take charge instead of Western nations.”

He also referenced historical figures such as General Edmund Allenby and T.E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia), who played pivotal roles in dismantling the Ottoman Empire during World War I. “In just two months,” Bannon said, “the Middle East’s structure has changed more dramatically than at any time since Allenby and Lawrence redrew its borders a century ago.”

His remarks have drawn sharp reactions globally, with many calling the proposal provocative and unrealistic.
