Controversial Bollywood actress Rakhi Sawant has once again made headlines, this time expressing her strong support for Seema Haider, a Pakistani woman who moved to India after falling in love with an Indian man.
In an emotional video shared on Instagram, Rakhi appealed to the Indian authorities not to deport Seema Haider back to Pakistan, emphasizing that she has now become “an Indian daughter-in-law.”
Rakhi stated unequivocally that while Seema’s past may be tied to Pakistan, she is now a mother to an Indian child and has built a new life in India. “Seema Haider should not be sent back forcibly. She has married an Indian man and started a family here,” Rakhi said.
The actress further argued that if Seema had not married or had a child in India, perhaps the situation could have been different. However, given that she has now established deep roots in an Indian family, deporting her would be a cruel injustice. Rakhi also pointed out that Seema has converted to Hinduism, having married an Indian man named Sachin.
In her characteristic style, Rakhi remarked, “Seema is not a football to be kicked out. She is a woman, a mother, and she deserves justice, as a matter of humanity.”
Seema Haider made headlines in 2023 when she traveled to India from Pakistan with her four children via Nepal. She eventually married Sachin, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, and recently gave birth to a child. Originally from Sindh, Seema was married in Pakistan before her move to India.
However, following recent measures by the Indian government, including the cancellation of Pakistani citizens’ visas and a directive to leave the country within three days, Seema now faces the threat of deportation.
