Former prime minister Imran Khan was reportedly willing to shift the planned protest from Islamabad’s central square D‑Chowk to the outskir However, according to Bushra Bibi — his wife — the protest should only occur at D-Chowk, rejecting the Sangjani option outright. The comment was made by the information adviser of the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, Barrister Saif, who revealed this in a TV interview.

Saif said that although Imran Khan had consented to the government’s suggestion of Sangjani, Bushra Bibi and other party members rejected it, insisting on D-Chowk. The stalemate meant the protest remained focused on D-Chowk, despite the government’s overture.
