National ( The cow news digital ) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan has voiced support for the creation of new administrative provinces in the country, emphasizing that such a structural move requires broad-based national consensus.
Speaking on Geo News’ program Capital Talk, the PTI chief highlighted the administrative necessity of smaller governance units to improve service delivery and political representation. However, he stressed that establishing new provinces must strictly adhere to constitutional requirements, which mandate a two-thirds majority in the respective legislative assemblies.
During the broadcast, Barrister Gohar also offered his perspective on the current political landscape, predicting that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will face significant challenges in completing his full five-year constitutional term amidst ongoing political and administrative frictions.
