Brooklyn (The COW News Digital)Hollywood star Dwayne Johnson, widely known as “The Rock,” has surprised fans with a dramatic transformation for his upcoming film Lizard Music, appearing almost unrecognisable in his latest on-set look.
The 54-year-old actor was recently spotted filming scenes in Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York, where he is portraying an elderly character. Photographs from the production show Johnson with white hair, a grey beard, visible signs of ageing on his face and loose-fitting clothes, marking a striking departure from his familiar muscular appearance.
According to international media reports, Johnson has also lost weight for the role, further changing his appearance to portray the character convincingly.
In Lizard Music, the actor plays “The Chicken Man,” an eccentric character aged over 70 who has an unusual companion: an 85-year-old chicken. The distinctive storyline and Johnson’s unexpected transformation have attracted attention, with fans expressing surprise at the actor’s dramatically altered appearance.
Known for his action-packed performances and imposing physique, Johnson has built a successful career across action films, comedies and family entertainment. His latest role represents another significant change in his on-screen image, demonstrating his willingness to explore characters beyond his usual action-hero persona.
The film is directed by Benny Safdie, who is known for his distinctive filmmaking style. The project also features prominent Hollywood actresses Rachel McAdams and Alicia Silverstone, alongside other cast members.
The production has generated interest not only because of its unusual central character but also because of Johnson’s physical transformation. His appearance in the film suggests a performance that will rely on character portrayal rather than the strength and athleticism audiences typically associate with him.
Lizard Music is expected to be released on December 25, 2027. Further details about the film’s storyline and promotional campaign are expected to emerge as production progresses.
For Johnson, the role adds another unconventional project to a filmography that spans blockbuster franchises, comedy films and dramatic performances. His latest transformation has already become a talking point among fans eager to see how the Hollywood star brings the unusual character to life on screen.
