World ( The cow news digital ) Iran has reacted strongly to US President Donald Trump’s warning of a possible attack on Kharg Island, with senior Iranian officials rejecting the remarks and vowing to defend the country’s interests.
Iranian Parliament’s National Security Committee spokesman Ebrahim Rezaei responded to the threat, saying, “Come, we are waiting for you.” His statement reflected Tehran’s firm position against any potential military action by Washington.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also criticized Trump’s comments, saying that the use of insulting language against the Iranian nation would not affect the country’s dignity and reputation. He said Iran is recognized for its culture, civilization, and strong moral values.
Araghchi stated that Iran does not respond to offensive statements with similar language but relies on confidence, courage, and practical measures to protect its interests.
The reaction came after Trump warned that any further attacks on ships or threats to maritime security could lead to more severe consequences for Iran. The US president said previous actions were carried out in response to attacks on vessels and warned that future incidents could result in stronger measures.
Meanwhile, Mohsen Rezaei, a senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, warned that the United States and its allies would face a serious response if they continued hostile actions.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei also criticized US policies, saying that previous understandings were based on commitments rather than trust alone. He accused Washington of creating difficulties in the Strait of Hormuz and emphasized that Iran would take necessary steps to safeguard its national interests.
