National ( The cow news digital ) Security forces have killed 102 militants during ongoing operations in Balochistan as part of Operation Shaban and other intelligence-based missions, according to security sources.
The joint operation involving the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps Balochistan, and police is continuing against militants linked to the banned Fitna al-Khawarij group. Authorities said security forces carried out successful air and ground operations against militants hiding in difficult mountainous areas and remote locations.
Security sources reported that 16 militants were killed during the latest 24-hour period. Seven militants were eliminated in recent operations, while nine others were targeted earlier as part of the ongoing security campaign.
The sources stated that the total number of militants killed during Operation Shaban has now reached 52. They added that since July 5, a combined total of 102 militants have been killed during Operation Shaban and other intelligence-based operations across Balochistan.
The security forces have continued operations in challenging terrain, using intelligence-led strategies to locate and target militant hideouts. Officials said the campaign will continue until the elimination of the last militant threat from the province.
The operation is part of broader efforts by security institutions to counter terrorism and restore long-term peace and stability in Balochistan. Security officials emphasized that forces remain committed to preventing militant groups from establishing their presence in the region.
Meanwhile, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the successful operations and congratulated the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps Balochistan, and police personnel for their efforts.
Naqvi said the security forces had defeated the hostile plans of militants through their courage and professionalism. He stated that those involved in terrorism were a burden on the country and that eliminating such threats was essential for national security.
