Pakistan Blames Foreign Proxies for Recent Terror Attacks

National ( The cow news digital ) Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that security forces killed 54 terrorists during operations following three major incidents in Balochistan over the past four days.

Addressing a press briefing on the security situation in Balochistan, the DG ISPR said terrorist groups targeted innocent citizens and security personnel, while the people of the province and law enforcement agencies responded with courage.

He said the first incident occurred in Hanna Orak during the night between July 4 and 5, where militants attacked local residents. According to the briefing, four civilians were killed and six others were injured during the attack, while residents resisted the attackers and forced them to leave the area.

The second incident took place on July 6 near the pumping station of Mangi Dam, where militants attacked a police checkpoint. The DG ISPR said police personnel fought back against the attackers, resulting in the deaths of several militants. He added that police personnel were held hostage during the operation and security forces later conducted an operation in the Ziarat mountains.

According to the military spokesperson, a total of 27 police personnel lost their lives in the Mangi checkpoint incident, while 26 militants were killed during the operation.

The third incident occurred in Bela, where security forces engaged militants from the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA). The DG ISPR said 14 militants were killed during the encounter, while a junior commissioned officer and 10 soldiers lost their lives.

He added that operations were also conducted in Kharan and Dalbandin, where additional militants were eliminated. Security forces, he said, would continue operations against terrorists and their facilitators.

The DG ISPR alleged that terrorist activities in Pakistan were being supported by foreign-backed proxies and claimed that hostile elements were using Afghan territory for such activities. He said Pakistan had evidence regarding the involvement of foreign-supported groups in recent attacks.

He emphasized that the state would continue pursuing terrorists and their facilitators, saying that security forces, law enforcement agencies, and citizens were united in the fight against terrorism.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said Pakistan’s security institutions would take every possible step to protect citizens and maintain stability in Balochistan and across the country.
