National ( The cow news digital ) The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has directed a local trader named Quaid-e-Azam to appear before the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) clearance board regarding the blocking of his Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).
A division bench comprising Justice Waqar Ahmad and Justice Inamullah Khan heard the petition filed by the citizen against the sudden suspension of his identity document.
During the court proceedings, the petitioner’s counsel stated that his client is a businessman whose identity card was abruptly blocked, causing severe administrative and professional disruption. Representing the registration authority, NADRA’s Legal Director submitted to the court that the petitioner’s CNIC was placed under the blocked status due to verification issues after being flagged as suspicious.
Following the preliminary arguments, the high court instructed the petitioner to present his relevant identity documents directly before the NADRA board for formal verification and resolution of his status.
