World ( The cow news digital ) Anita Advani, the late Bollywood superstar Rajesh Khanna’s live-in partner, has made fresh revelations regarding the actor’s strained marital history, stating that Khanna requested a divorce from Dimple Kapadia ten times without success.

Rajesh Khanna married Dimple Kapadia in 1973 when she was 16 years old. Despite a high-profile beginning, the marriage deteriorated after the birth of their two daughters, leading to a permanent separation in 1982, though the couple never legally finalized a divorce. Khanna subsequently shared a long-term relationship with Advani during the final decade of his life.

Advani’s comments come following a ruling by the Bombay High Court earlier this year, which dismissed her petition seeking legal recognition of her time with Khanna as equivalent to a marriage. The court categorized their association as a live-in relationship that did not fulfill the requirements under the Hindu Marriage Act.

Expressing dissatisfaction with the legal outcome, Advani argued that her case was evaluated under marriage laws rather than civil statutes addressing long-term domestic arrangements. She contended that when a spouse leaves a partner for decades, another companion fulfilling that role in the individual’s life should hold recognized legal standing.

Advani further asserted that Khanna himself had publicly mentioned asking Kapadia for a divorce on multiple occasions, but claims the requests were refused over property and financial terms.
