ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi has announced significant progress in diplomatic talks with Iran, expressing optimism that the discussions will pave the way for sustainable regional peace.
In an official statement, the Interior Minister revealed that meetings held in Iran focused on reinstating the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and exploring measures toward a comprehensive resolution of ongoing regional tensions.
Minister Naqvi shared that Field Marshal Asim Munir and he held a highly positive and constructive meeting with the Iranian President. The high-level discussions included detailed deliberations on Middle Eastern security dynamics and broader regional stability.
According to Naqvi, the meeting concluded in a very cordial atmosphere, during which the Iranian leadership openly shared its government’s position and strategic concerns.
“Crucial progress has been made during these negotiations, raising strong hopes for establishing long-term peace across the region,” the Interior Minister added.
