WASHINGTON: US War Secretary Pete Hegseth stated that the United States has not ceased military strikes against Iran and remains prepared to execute further armed actions if deemed necessary.

Speaking to reporters in Wisconsin, Secretary Hegseth claimed that the US has established full operational control over the Strait of Hormuz, enabling the safe resumption of oil shipments. Emphasizing the efficacy of economic measures, Hegseth highlighted that maximum financial pressure is currently dealing the hardest blow to Iran, asserting that returning to the negotiating table is Tehran’s only viable option. He reaffirmed that military strikes have not been ruled out and armed responses will continue if situational requirements demand them.

Conversely, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio reportedly informed foreign ministers of several ally nations that Washington does not anticipate launching additional direct strikes against Iran in the immediate term. According to diplomatic sources, Rubio signaled a strategic pivot toward expanding the sanctions campaign and utilizing non-military pressuring tactics to achieve regional objectives.
