Rawalpindi ( The COW News Digital) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has firmly stated that he will neither bow down to pressure nor engage in any political compromise. During a meeting at Adiala Jail with Alima Khan and other family members, Khan reiterated his unwavering stance, declaring that intimidation and isolation will not sway him.

Alima Khan, speaking to the media alongside her sisters, expressed gratitude toward PTI workers who have stood by them for several months despite restricted access to Khan. She confirmed that after four months, the family was finally allowed to meet together. Meetings with legal representatives, including Salman Akram Raja, Barrister Gohar, and Ali Zafar, also took place to discuss ongoing political and legal matters.

Alima Khan reassured the public that Imran Khan’s health is stable, noting only a minor issue with his eyes, for which doctors from PIMS Hospital will conduct a checkup. She further highlighted Khan’s criticism of the judiciary, emphasizing his view that the oppression and arrests of party members like Sher Shah and Shahreiz are entirely the responsibility of the judicial system.

Imran Khan reflected on unprecedented political challenges, including disqualification cases and media suppression. He criticized mainstream media for losing credibility among the public and called out military operations in Waziristan, asserting they should be halted to prevent instability. Khan also expressed concern over the treatment of Afghan refugees in Pakistan, calling their forced return against Islamic traditions, and lamented the recent flood devastation in Buner and other regions.

In a major directive, Khan instructed PTI members to resign from all parliamentary committees and advised against participating in upcoming by-elections. He emphasized that taking part in elections would legitimize the process and provide legal justification for what he considers flawed procedures. Alima Khan confirmed that the resignations of key members like Salman Akram Raja were initially rejected, but further party consultations will guide the final decisions.

Khan’s firm directives reflect a strategy to consolidate party unity while challenging political and judicial pressures. He has made it clear that differing opinions within the party will be considered, but the core position remains steadfast: abstain from by-elections and resist political compromise.
